The East Nicolaus Spartans basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Live Oak Lions to 64 in the Spartans league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now sport a 9-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Winters for a Sacramento Valley contest on Friday, February 9. East Nicolaus will meet a Warriors team coming off a 53-38 league loss to Durham (Durham, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-13.

The Lions (2-22) will now prepare for their contest against Pierce (Arbuckle, CA). The Bears enter the Sacramento Valley contest with a 10-17 record. In their last contest, Pierce was outscored by Colusa (Colusa, CA), 77-45, in a league contest.
