Illinois High School Basketball - Father McGivney Catholic succumbs to Metro-East Lutheran

The Metro-East Lutheran Knights topped the visiting Father McGivney Catholic Griffins basketball team by a final score of 62-54 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Knights face the Woodlawn Cardinals (Woodlawn, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 9. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to move on its 6-17 season record. The Cardinals enter the game with a 12-15 record after their 49-42 league win over Wayne City (Wayne City, IL).
