Penfield Patriots (Penfield, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Gates Chili Spartans (Rochester, NY), 76-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Penfield upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Rush-Henrietta (Henrietta, NY) to play the Royal Comets in a Section 5 Monroe 1 bout on Friday, February 9. The Royal Comets come into the bout with a record of 10-8. Rush-Henrietta won 84-52 in their recent non-league bout against Churchville-Chili (Churchville, NY)

Next up, the Spartans play the Webster Schroeder Warriors (Webster, NY) in a Section 5 Monroe 2 bout, on Friday, February 9. Gates Chili will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record.
