Vermont High School Basketball - Long Trail can't hold off Springfield

The Springfield Cosmos basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Long Trail to 57 in the Cosmos non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Cosmos now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Anthony for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Springfield will battle a Patriots team coming off a 69-56 league loss to Rutland (Rutland, VT). The Patriots record now stands at 7-10.
The (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Poultney (Poultney, VT). The Blue Devils enter the Southern Vermont - D contest with a 9-6 record.
