Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD), 74-68 in a league bout.

With the victory, Middletown upgrades its record to 19-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Catoctin (Thurmont, MD) to play the Cougars in a CMC bout on Friday, February 9. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 8-13. Catoctin lost 68-49 in their recent non-league bout against Linganore (Frederick, MD)

Next up, the play the Frederick Cadets (Frederick, MD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Oakdale will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Cadets come into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 56-32 league win over Urbana (Ijamsville, MD).
