The Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) basketball crushed the visiting Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI), 65-28 in Wednesday's league test.

The Chieftains (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Achievement First Providence (Providence, RI). The Falcons go into the Division 3 test with a 0-12 record.

The Spartans now own a 2-15 record. They play next when they host North Smithfield for a Division 3 test on Saturday, February 10. Scituate will encounter a Northmen squad coming off a 45-42 league win over West Warwick (West Warwick, RI). The Northmen record now stands at 16-3.
