The Wheatland Pirates basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Bear River Bruins to 42 in the Pirates league triumph on Wednesday.
The Pirates now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Center for a contest on Thursday, February 8. Wheatland will meet a Cougars team coming off a 67-62 league loss to Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 14-6.
The Bruins (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Marysville (Marysville, CA). The Indians enter the contest with a 18-6 record. In their last contest, Marysville nudged Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA), 51-44, in a league contest.
