Lawrence Academy Warriors (Merry Hill, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC), 40-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lawrence Academy improves its record to 14-7 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Ridgecroft (Ahoskie, NC) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 19-0. Ridgecroft won 50-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Albemarle School (Elizabeth City, NC)

Next up, the Raiders confront the Halifax Academy Vikings (Roanoke Rapids, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 15. Pungo Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 15-11 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 50-41 non-league loss to Harrells Christian Academy (Harrells, NC).
