Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY), 67-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Northeastern Clinton upgrades its record to 17-0 on the season. The Cougars host Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY) to clash with the Eagles in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout on Friday, February 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Beekmantown won 72-46 in their recent league bout against Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Northern Adirondack Bobcats (Ellenburg Depot, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout, on Friday, February 9. Moriah will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 72-46 league loss to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY).
