The Winston-Salem Christian National Lions basketball team scored 62 points and held the host NC GBB Academy National Eagles to 58 in the Lions league triumph on Wednesday.
The Lions now sport a 20-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shining Star Sports Academy for a National Independent - North contest on Saturday, February 10. Winston-Salem Christian National will meet a Panthers team coming off a 72-49 non-league win over 1 of 1 Academy (Indian Trail, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 18-2.
The Eagles (14-14) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Zion Prep Academy (Lanham, MD). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 14-11 record. In their last contest, Mt. Zion Prep Academy nudged Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD), 60-58, in a league contest.
