Washington Huskies (Fremont, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Newark Memorial Cougars (Newark, CA), 65-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 11-13 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to James Logan (Union City, CA) to play the Colts in a Mission Valley bout on Friday, February 9. The Colts come into the bout with a record of 20-4. James Logan won 58-52 in their recent league bout against Mission San Jose (Fremont, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Moreau Catholic Mariners (Hayward, CA) in a Mission Valley bout, on Friday, February 9. Newark Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 8-17 season record. The Mariners come into the bout with a 15-10 record after their 77-31 league win over Irvington (Fremont, CA).
