Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders (Palmyra, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Waterloo Tigers (Waterloo, NY), 50-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Palmyra-Macedon upgrades its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Red Raiders host Penn Yan Academy (Penn Yan, NY) to play the Mustangs in a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East bout on Friday, February 9. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 2-14. Penn Yan Academy lost 65-47 in their recent league bout against Newark (Newark, NY)

Next up, the Tigers play the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils (Seneca Falls, NY) in a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East bout, on Wednesday, February 14. Waterloo will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 15-5 record after their 44-28 league win over Midlakes (Clifton Springs, NY).
