The Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH) basketball felled the visiting South Rebels (Willoughby, OH), 52-38 in Wednesday's league test.
The Beavers (14-6) will now prepare for their test against Mayfield (Mayfield, OH). The Wildcats go into the Western Reserve test with a 10-9 record. In their last test, Mayfield thwarted North (Eastlake, OH), 54-40, in a league test.
The Rebels now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host Chardon for a Western Reserve test on Saturday, February 10. South will encounter a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 47-46 league loss to Kenston (Chagrin Falls, OH). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 11-8.
