North Carolina High School Basketball - McDowell routs Hibriten

February 7, 2024: Marion, NC 28752

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC), by a count of 47-21.

The Titans (9-2) will now prepare for their match against Asheville (Asheville, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league match with a 9-3 record. In their last match, Asheville crushed T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC), 37-27, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Hibriten moves to 8-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to meet the Pioneers in a non-league match on Friday, February 9. The Pioneers enter the match with a record of 14-1. Watauga won 44-37 in their recent non-league match against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)
