In Wednesday's league challenge, the Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT) ice hockey team nudged the visiting Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets (St. Albans, VT), by a margin of 2-1.

The Hornets now possess a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hartford for a challenge on Saturday, February 10. Essex will clash with a Hurricanes team coming off a 1-1 league Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT). The Hurricanes record now stands at 9-4.

The Bobwhites/Comets (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT). The Redhawks enter the challenge with a 5-8 record.
