South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) fans left the game thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the visiting Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI), 7-0 in a league match.

The Rebels (7-9) will now prepare for their match against Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI). The Huskies enter the Division 2 match with a 1-14 record. In their last match, Mt. Hope was trounced by West Warwick (West Warwick, RI), 8-0, in a league bout.

The Oakers now have a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they host Narragansett for a Division 2 bout on Friday, February 9. Coventry will confront a Mariners squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Mariners record now stands at 7-4.
