Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD) and the host Atholton Raiders (Columbia, MD), saw Howard's basketball squad hold off Atholton by a tally of 51-46.

With the victory, Howard improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign.

Next up, the Raiders confront the Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. Atholton will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 36-32 non-league loss to Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD).
