The Corinth Holders Pirates basketball team (Wendell, NC), was nudged 42-40 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host South Garner Titans (Garner, NC)
The Titans now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southeast Raleigh for a non-league battle on Friday, February 9. South Garner will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 54-31 league win over Clayton (Clayton, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-8.
The Pirates (5-12) will now prepare for their battle against Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Storm come into the battle with a 11-7 record. In their last battle, Willow Spring edged Cleveland (Clayton, NC), 58-37, in a league battle.
