The Shelby Golden Lions basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Kings Mountain Mountaineers to 43 in the Golden Lions non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Golden Lions now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Gaston for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Shelby will battle a Warriors team coming off a 56-50 non-league win over Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 8-7.

The Mountaineers (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Forestview triumphed over Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC), 70-53, in a non-league contest.
