Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), 2-0 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Spartans host North Duplin (Calypso, NC) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 9-7. North Duplin won 50-49 in their recent league bout against Lakewood (Roseboro, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Rosewood will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 46-36 league loss to Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC).
