The Akins Eagles basketball team scored 47 points and limited the host Dripping Springs Tigers to 43 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now have a 14-17 record. They play next when they host Westlake for a 6A Region IV District 26 game on Tuesday, February 11. Akins will confront a Chaparrals team coming off a 51-46 league win over Dripping Springs (Dripping Springs, TX). The Chaparrals record now stands at 23-7.

With the loss, Dripping Springs falls to 17-15 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Austin (Austin, TX) to confront the Maroons in a 6A Region IV District 26 game on Tuesday, February 11. The Maroons go into the game with a record of 7-23. Austin lost 62-40 in their recent league game against Del Valle (Del Valle, TX)
