North Carolina High School Basketball - South Caldwell bests Alexander Central

The South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) basketball toppled the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 63-47 in Friday's league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 15-6 record. They play next when they travel to Ashe County for a 3A/4A Northwestern bout on Tuesday, February 11. South Caldwell will play a Huskies team coming off a 68-55 league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 7-12.
With the loss, Alexander Central falls to 10-11 on the campaign. The Cougars host Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to play the Panthers in a 3A/4A Northwestern bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-19. Hibriten lost 62-30 in their recent league bout against Watauga (Boone, NC)
