In Friday's league contest, the visiting Alvord Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 48-47 triumph over the Tioga Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs (18-14) will now prepare for their contest against Slidell (Slidell, TX). The Greyhounds go into the 2A Region II District 13 contest with a 26-7 record. In their last contest, Slidell nipped Muenster (Muenster, TX), 43-38, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Chico Dragons (Chico, TX) in a 2A Region II District 13 contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Tioga will attempt to better on its 9-18 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 12-20 record after their 72-60 league loss to Lindsay (Lindsay, TX).
