In Friday's league contest, the host Franklin Broncos basketball team scored a big 79-26 triumph over the Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons.
The Broncos (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against Sussex Central (Sussex, VA). The Tigers go into the Tri-Rivers contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Sussex Central was trounced by Westmoreland (Montross, VA), 42-40, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Dragons battle the Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) in a Tri-Rivers contest, on Monday, February 10.
