The Auburn Eagles basketball squad (Riner, VA), was nudged 66-63 in Friday's league battle with the visiting George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA)
With the victory, George Wythe advances its record to 17-4 on the year. The Maroons travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to meet the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire battle on Wednesday, February 12. The Pioneers enter the battle with a record of 15-6. Fort Chiswell won 69-55 in their recent league battle against Giles (Pearisburg, VA)
