The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Edisto Cougars (Cordova, SC) and the host Barnwell Warhorses (Barnwell, SC), observed Edisto's basketball team edge Barnwell by a score of 45-43.

The Cougars (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Marion (Santee, SC). The Gators come into the AA Region 5 challenge with a 12-9 record. In their last challenge, Lake Marion was tipped by Bridges Prep (Beaufort, SC), 78-74, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Warhorses encounter the Whale Branch Warriors (Beaufort, SC) in a AA Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Barnwell will attempt to improve on its 0-13 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 67-49 league loss to Hampton County (Varnville, SC).
