The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles (Greensboro, NC) and the host High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC), observed Ben L. Smith's basketball team knock off High Point Central by a score of 60-48.
The Golden Eagles (19-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Wildcats come into the 3A Mid-State challenge with a 3-19 record. In their last challenge, Eastern Guilford was knocked off by Southern Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 57-46, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bison encounter the Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) in a 3A Mid-State challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. High Point Central will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Camels come into the challenge with a 4-18 record after their 83-50 league loss to Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC).
