Texas High School Basketball - Birdville holds off Denton

In Friday's league contest, the host Birdville Hawks basketball team scored a close 55-52 triumph over the Denton Broncos.
The Hawks (30-3) will now prepare for their contest against Ryan (Denton, TX). The Raiders go into the 5A Region I District 6 contest with a 8-23 record. In their last contest, Ryan was tipped by Denton (Denton, TX), 53-50, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Broncos confront the Richland Royals (North Richland Hills, TX) in a 5A Region I District 6 contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Denton will attempt to better on its 17-14 season record. The Royals go into the contest with a 16-16 record after their 53-45 league loss to Argyle (Argyle, TX).
