Maryland High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge triumphant over Bishop Walsh

February 7, 2025: Frostburg, MD 21532

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) and the visiting Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD), observed Mountain Ridge's basketball team overwhelm Bishop Walsh by a score of 72-20.

The Miners (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Keyser (Keyser, WV). The Golden Tornado come into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Keyser trounced Frankfort (Ridgeley, WV), 57-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Hyndman Charter School Hornets (Hyndman, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 10. Bishop Walsh will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 44-23 non-league loss to Hancock (Hancock, MD).
