In Friday's league contest, the visiting Shiner Comanches basketball team scored a big 71-42 triumph over the Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats.

The Comanches (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Long Creek (New Braunfels, TX). The Dragons go into the non-league contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Long Creek was trounced by San Antonio Christian (San Antonio, TX), 48-25, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bobcats/Lady Cats confront the Flatonia Bulldogs (Flatonia, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 28 contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Bloomington will attempt to better on its 2-22 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 16-13 record after their 57-51 league loss to Schulenburg (Schulenburg, TX).
