In Friday's league contest, the host Brookside Cardinals basketball team scored a big 87-62 triumph over the Wellington Dukes.
The Cardinals (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against Firelands (Oberlin, OH). The Falcons go into the Lorain County 8 contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Firelands smashed Black River (Sullivan, OH), 67-47, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Dukes battle the Northwestern Huskies (West Salem, OH) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Wellington will attempt to better on its 3-15 season record. The Huskies go into the contest with a 2-18 record after their 79-51 non-league loss to Orrville (Orrville, OH).
