The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Centennial Spartans (Burleson, TX) and the host Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX), observed Centennial's basketball team overwhelm Burleson by a score of 93-41.

The Spartans (28-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX). The Wolves come into the 5A Region I District 8 challenge with a 25-7 record. In their last challenge, Mansfield Timberview was routed by Seguin (Arlington, TX), 60-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Elks encounter the Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Burleson will attempt to improve on its 20-15 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 13-20 record after their 46-42 league loss to Everman (Everman, TX).
