Maryland High School Basketball - Calvert bested by Chopticon

Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), 56-39 in a league match.

With the victory, Chopticon advances its record to 9-10 on the year. The Braves travel to Great Mills (Great Mills, MD) to face the Hornets in a Southern Maryland match on Wednesday, February 12. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 12-4. Great Mills won 63-47 in their recent league match against Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD)

The Cavaliers now own a 1-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leonardtown for a Southern Maryland match on Wednesday, February 12. Calvert will face a Raiders squad coming off a 66-55 league win over Northern (Owings, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 14-5.
