Georgia High School Basketball - Sumter County falls to Carver

The Sumter County Panthers basketball squad (Americus, GA), was outscored 73-60 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Carver Tigers (Columbus, GA)

With the victory, Carver advances its record to 21-2 on the year. The Tigers host Kendrick (Columbus, GA) to meet the Cherokees in a AA Region 1 battle on Saturday, February 8. The Cherokees enter the battle with a record of 14-9. Kendrick won 60-42 in their recent league battle against Hardaway (Columbus, GA)

The Panthers now own a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Columbus for a AA Region 1 battle on Saturday, February 8. Sumter County will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 55-48 league loss to Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 10-15.
