The Central Christian Comets (Kidron, OH) basketball edged the visiting Mansfield Christian Flames (Mansfield, OH), 72-66 in Friday's league bout.
The Comets now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Chippewa for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 8. Central Christian will play a Chipps team coming off a 61-30 league win over Rittman (Rittman, OH). The Chipps record now stands at 9-10.
With the loss, Mansfield Christian falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Flames host Northmor (Galion, OH) to play the Golden Knights in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 8. The Golden Knights go into the bout with a record of 13-5. Northmor lost 59-47 in their recent league bout against Centerburg (Centerburg, OH)
