Illinois High School Basketball - Deerfield holds off Maine South

The Deerfield Warriors basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Maine South Hawks to 59 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.
The Warriors now possess a 17-7 record. They play next when they travel to Glenbard East for a non-league game on Monday, February 10. Deerfield will confront a Rams team coming off a 56-48 league win over Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Rams record now stands at 19-7.
With the loss, Maine South falls to 11-14 on the campaign. The Hawks host Barrington (Barrington, IL) to confront the Fillies/Broncos in a non-league game on Saturday, February 8. The Fillies/Broncos go into the game with a record of 15-6. Barrington won 61-29 in their recent non-league game against Huntley (Huntley, IL)
