In Friday's league test, the East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host Raleigh Charter Phoenix (Raleigh, NC), by a score of 59-50.

Next, the Eagles encounter the Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC) in a 1A/2A Super Six test, on Monday, February 10. East Wake Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Firebirds come into the test with a 5-15 record after their 60-32 non-league loss to Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC).

The Phoenix (3-12) will now prepare for their test against NCSSM: Durham (Durham, NC). The Unicorns come into the 1A/2A Super Six test with a 12-8 record. In their last test, NCSSM: Durham was knocked off by Wake Prep Academy (Wake Forest, NC), 58-49, in a league test.
