In Friday's league contest, the visiting Hopkins Royals basketball team scored a good 93-76 triumph over the Edina Hornets.
The Royals (19-1) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN). The Fire go into the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Holy Family Catholic was toppled by Jordan (Jordan, MN), 66-59, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Hornets confront the Wayzata Trojans (Plymouth, MN) in a AAAA Section 6 contest, on Monday, February 10. Edina will attempt to better on its 8-12 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 17-3 record after their 74-48 non-league win over Eden Prairie (Eden Prairie, MN).
