First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), 81-45 in a league match.

With the victory, First Flight advances its record to 14-8 on the year. The Nighthawks travel to Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC) to face the Panthers in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal match on Tuesday, February 11. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 8-11. Pasquotank County lost 72-70 in their recent league match against Currituck County (Barco, NC)

The Aces now own a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hertford County for a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal match on Saturday, February 8. Holmes will face a Bears squad coming off a 75-72 league win over Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Bears record now stands at 6-11.
