Illinois High School Basketball - Lexington routs Flanagan-Cornell

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Lexington Minutemen basketball team scored a big 69-44 triumph over the Flanagan-Cornell Falcons.

The Minutemen (22-5) will now prepare for their contest against El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Titans go into the Heart of Illinois contest with a 19-6 record. In their last contest, El Paso-Gridley smashed Vienna (Vienna, IL), 65-57, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons confront the Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, February 8. Flanagan-Cornell will attempt to advance on its 13-13 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 21-3 record after their 73-52 non-league win over Alleman (Rock Island, IL).
