New York High School Basketball - Geneva sneaks past Penn Yan Academy

The Geneva Panthers (Geneva, NY) basketball edged the host Penn Yan Academy Mustangs (Penn Yan, NY), 73-67 in Friday's league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 10-5 record. They play next when they host Palmyra-Macedon for a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East bout on Tuesday, February 11. Geneva will play a Red Raiders team coming off a 68-21 non-league win over Early College (Yonkers, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Penn Yan Academy falls to 1-15 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Midlakes (Clifton Springs, NY) to play the Screaming Eagles in a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East bout on Friday, February 14. The Screaming Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-13.
