The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX) and the visiting Luling Eagles (Luling, TX), observed Goliad's basketball team overcome Luling by a margin of 63-46.

The Tigers (14-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX). The Mustangs come into the 3A Region IV District 26 challenge with a 9-16 record. In their last challenge, Nixon-Smiley dropped by Poth (Poth, TX), 64-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Stockdale Brahmas (Stockdale, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 26 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Luling will attempt to better on its 15-16 season record. The Brahmas come into the challenge with a 9-18 record after their 58-53 league win over Karnes City (Karnes City, TX).
