In Friday's league contest, the host Grand Meadow Superlarks basketball team scored a close 64-62 triumph over the Schaeffer Academy Lions.

The Superlarks (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Southland (Adams, MN). The Rebels go into the A Section 1 contest with a 24-0 record. In their last contest, Southland nipped Lyle/Pacelli (Lyle, MN), 114-51, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Rushford-Peterson Trojans (Rushford, MN) in a A Section 1 contest, on Monday, February 10. Schaeffer Academy will attempt to better on its 10-11 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 18-4 record after their 84-67 non-league loss to Caledonia (Caledonia, MN).
