The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) and the host Queen City Bulldogs (Queen City, TX), observed Hooks's basketball team overcome Queen City by a margin of 59-44.

The Hornets (19-13) will now prepare for their challenge against CHAAMP HomeSchool (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 21-7 record.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Liberty-Eylau Leopards (Texarkana, TX) in a 3A Region II District 14 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Queen City will attempt to better on its 14-12 season record. The Leopards come into the challenge with a 32-0 record after their 79-30 league win over De Kalb (De Kalb, TX).
