The Liberty Eagles (Lake St. Louis, MO) basketball edged the host Howell Central Spartans (St. Charles, MO), 49-44 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 16-3 record. They play next when they host Howell North for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 11. Liberty will play a Knights team coming off a 76-62 league loss to Howell (St. Charles, MO). The Knights record now stands at 4-11.
With the loss, Howell Central falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Spartans host Troy-Buchanan (Troy, MO) to play the Trojans in a Gateway - South bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 3-14.
