The South Cougars basketball squad (Salina, KS), was crushed 69-43 in Friday's league battle with the host Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS)

With the victory, Hutchinson advances its record to 5-8 on the year. The Salthawks travel to Valley Center (Valley Center, KS) to meet the Hornets in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I battle on Tuesday, February 11. The Hornets enter the battle with a record of 8-6.

The Cougars now own a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maize for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I battle on Tuesday, February 11. South will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 63-48 league win over Maize South (Wichita, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 10-5.
