Louisiana High School Basketball - Iowa toppled by Washington-Marion

Washington-Marion Charging Indians (Lake Charles, LA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Iowa Yellowjackets (Iowa, LA), 46-35 in a league match.

With the victory, Washington-Marion advances its record to 13-11 on the year. The Charging Indians travel to LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA) to face the Gators in a 4A District 3 match on Tuesday, February 11. The Gators enter the match with a record of 6-24.

The Yellowjackets now own a 19-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leesville for a 4A District 3 match on Tuesday, February 11. Iowa will face a Wampus Cats squad coming off a 70-57 league loss to Eunice (Eunice, LA). The Wampus Cats record now stands at 12-15.
