In Friday's league contest, the visiting Wilby Wildcats basketball team scored a close 63-58 win over the Kennedy Eagles.
The Wildcats (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Harding (Bridgeport, CT). The Presidents come into the non-league contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, Harding edged Amistad (New Haven, CT), 65-56, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the St. Paul Catholic Falcons (Bristol, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley 2 contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Kennedy will attempt to better on its 2-11 season record. The Falcons come into the contest with a 7-9 record after their 61-48 league loss to Seymour (Seymour, CT).
