In Friday's league contest, the visiting Sherando Warriors basketball team scored a close 50-43 win over the Liberty Eagles.

The Warriors (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Fauquier (Warrenton, VA). The Falcons come into the Northwestern contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, Fauquier edged Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA), 78-39, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Kettle Run Cougars (Nokesville, VA) in a Northwestern contest, on Thursday, February 13. Liberty will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record.
