In Friday's league contest, the host Manteno Panthers basketball team scored a good 41-33 triumph over the Streator Bulldogs.

The Panthers (17-11) will now prepare for their contest against Peotone (Peotone, IL). The Blue Devils go into the Illinois Central 8 contest with a 12-12 record. In their last contest, Peotone topped Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL), 54-44, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Streator will attempt to better on its 19-6 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the contest with a 23-4 record after their 75-41 league win over Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL).
